Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies track your activity to help us deliver relevant promotions and measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. These are set by our advertising partner Meta (the Meta Pixel, used for Facebook and Instagram advertising) as well as by us.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services we use: our payment processors (Paystack and Monnify), analytics providers (Google and Microsoft Clarity), our advertising partner (Meta) and Google reCAPTCHA for security. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies which we encourage you to review.
Your Consent and Default Settings
In line with the soft opt-out approach permitted under Nigerian data protection guidance, analytics and marketing cookies are active by default when you first visit DailyNeed. A cookie banner is shown on your first visit where you can choose "Reject All" — this immediately stops analytics and marketing tracking, and your choice is remembered on your device. Essential cookies remain active in all cases, as the platform cannot function without them.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, though doing so may affect your ability to use certain features of DailyNeed. You can also opt out of analytics and marketing cookies through our in-app preference centre.
How Long Cookies Are Stored
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period — typically between 30 days and 2 years depending on their purpose — or until you delete them manually.
